The story behind Breezy Meadow
It was in 1993 that my husband Wayne and I decided to move to the country. Now, space permitting, I was able to give in to my passion — dogs. While doing obedience classes with my first Golden Retriever Chelsea, I met a group of people who were also involved in conformation. I attended a few shows and found I was hooked.
It was in 1997 that I acquired my first show potential dog, a Golden Retriever. Keesha made her debut in the ring at the age of six months. We have a great time that Summer. I met a great group of friends and to this day, we meet up at the different shows in the region.
Keesha gave me two beautiful litters over the next three years. It was a very
pleasant and fulfilling experience. Our main goals were health and temperament were met – naturally looks were an added bonus.
Later on, having to downsize for health reasons, I acquired my
first Maltese from Michelle Gillott.
"Diamond River Frosted Breeze"
(a.k.a. Belle) was in the ring occasionally from the age of six months
and finished her Canadian championship a few months after her first
birthday. Belle is very pretty and has a wonderful temperament. She is
definitely a great companion and a fun dog to live with. Thanks Michelle
for allowing me the pleasure of raising Belle.
Belle had her first litter in June 2006 – three boys (Picco, Magic and
Bogart) and one girl (Sophie). Belle is a wonderful mom. One or two of these babies will be in the ring next Spring and hopefully follow in their mother’s steps.
I also co-own "Peridae Mercer’s I’m no Angel" with Robin Mercer. Angie was bred by Robin and came to live with me in Spring 2006. Angie is a great addition to our family. She started her show career over the Summer and finished her Championship on Sept. 29, 2006.
